National Museum of American History - Entertainment Nation Exhibit

Washington, DC

Entertainment Nation is the “Smithsonian’s first-ever permanent installation on the nation’s entertainment history” and features iconic artifacts from the mid-19th Century to today. Led by exhibit designers at Reich & Petch Design International, EwingCole assisted in the exhibit’s infrastructure planning and installation. The space is designed to connect unforgettable moments in movies, television, music, and theatre with the pivotal political and cultural events that shaped the present day. The exhibit occupies flexible galleries within the museum’s west wing, designed and renovated by EwingCole. The black box space includes modular power and data systems, allowing for simplified exhibit installment and reconfiguration.
