When this renowned healthcare system wanted to provide services closer to its Long Island patients’ homes, it needed to make up for the lack of infrastructure available. This 50,000 SF outpatient center — the adaptive reuse of a former supermarket — offers specialized care including orthopedics, physical therapy, and neurology, consolidating 30 existing practices into a single, convenient location. In addition to maximizing patient convenience, multispecialty centers also foster collaboration among providers, enhancing their ability to provide individualized care. The center has 60 exam rooms, with the capacity to care for more than 350 patients daily. EwingCole’s design takes advantage of the high ceilings and abundant natural light, creating a warm and beautiful environment and a calming patient-centric experience. Natural elements and textiles welcome patients into an inviting and relaxing atmosphere.
