Angela Matchica, PE, LC, LEED AP is a Principal at EwingCole and the firm’s Director of Cultural Projects. She is responsible for the development and leadership of EwingCole’s national cultural practice, shepherding the creation of built environments that support education, visitor experience, collection display, and spur curiosity and discovery. Angela has over 15 years of experience in the planning, design, and construction of a spectrum of cultural projects, working with clients such as the Franklin Institute, Liberty Science Center, the Mann Center, the Philadelphia Phillies, Princeton University, the Smithsonian Institution, Susquehanna Art Museum, and Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library, and the Yale Center for British Art.  Angela has also focused her professional career on sustainable and high-efficiency building design, working as the lead lighting designer for the firm’s largest net-zero building.

 

Angela began her career with EwingCole in 2007 after completing her dual master’s/bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering from Pennsylvania State University. Throughout her tenure with the firm, Angela has been a senior electrical engineer, project manager, principal in charge, and director of lighting design for the firm’s national practice. She is a member of the American Alliance of Museums and the International Association of Museum Facility Administrators.
