Alcon is a global leader in eye care and is now the second largest division of the Novartis Group. The Alcon Division combines the product portfolios, commercialization capabilities, R&D and talent of Alcon, Ciba Vision, and Novartis Ophthalmics. With more than 22,000 employees Alcon’s 287-acre campus was poised for immediate and long-term growth. The campus has considerable land and infrastructure assets as well as reasonably flexible zoning regulations, which allowed for robust site development. EwingCole’s overall site strategy opts for closer proximity of buildings organized around interlocking exterior spaces and the positioning of parking at the perimeter of the site, to reinforce a walkable campus.
