Geisinger Laboratory Medicine advances community health by offering integrated, customer-focused laboratory services defined by quality, service, and cost-effectiveness. To meet increasing demands and expand service capacity, Geisinger required a new facility that supports collaboration and adapts to rapidly changing technologies.
The new 115,000-square-foot building delivers on this vision with a layout designed to optimize safety, workflow, and flexibility. EwingCole planned and designed a clinical pathology floor with a large open core for high-volume testing and automated equipment, surrounded by secure specialty labs including microbiology, molecular, forensic, toxicology, and BSL-3 functions.
