Keller Army Community Hospital Expansion

West Point, NY

Keller Army Community Hospital is critical in maintaining the health and readiness of the U.S. Military Academy’s corps of cadets, staff, and families. As demand for outpatient services grew, the hospital required additional space to house a broader range of specialties—while minimizing disruption to ongoing care and operations.

The new three-story, 50,695-square-foot clinic wing expands access to primary care, orthopedics, podiatry, physical therapy, optometry, ophthalmology, dental, and OB/GYN services. The goal was to create a medical environment that reflects the quality and convenience of private-sector care, all within the secure and historic West Point campus.

The design prioritizes clarity, comfort, and connection to nature. A modern entrance and welcoming lobby lead to a clear circulation path with access to daylight and views. Domestically scaled interiors incorporate natural materials like wood and stone to create a calming, familiar setting for patients and staff.

This expansion supports Keller’s mission to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care—ensuring the well-being of those who serve and strengthening the foundation for long-term force readiness.
