As Chief Executive Officer, John guides EwingCole’s strategic direction and advances its evolution as a national design practice. He focuses on aligning the firm’s expertise across disciplines and regions, strengthening project delivery, and shaping a more consistent and clearly defined client experience. His leadership centers on integrating design excellence, technology, and research to enhance how the firm creates and delivers value.

With expertise across the civic, government, healthcare, and education sectors, John has led complex, large-scale projects for clients such as Rowan University/ Rutgers-Camden Board of Governors, the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Defense Health Agency, and Cooper University Health Care. He also played a central role in expanding EwingCole’s federal design-build capabilities, establishing new service offerings, and leading major architect-engineer joint venture programs across the United States and internationally.

John holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Catholic University, a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Certificate in Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is an active member of the American Institute of Architects, the Society of American Military Engineers, and the Design-Build Institute of America.
