United States Military Academy at West Point – Golf Clubhouse

West Point, NY

The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), in partnership with the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, has completed a new golf clubhouse designed to support the Academy’s NCAA Division I golf team and the Army’s Morale, Welfare, and Recreation mission. Located on the historic West Point Military Reservation, the 14,000-square-foot, single-story facility combines hospitality, recreation, and community functions in one elegant, efficient space.

The clubhouse welcomes cadets, guests, and golfers with a spacious lobby and a banquet room that accommodates up to 150 guests. Additional amenities include a 75-seat covered patio overlooking the 18th green, a snack bar and pro shop, administrative offices, and a full commercial kitchen with dedicated loading and walk-in cold storage.

The architectural design blends sculptural form with natural materials, creating a strong visual and physical connection to the surrounding Hudson Valley landscape. The exterior features ipe wood cladding, dark granite stone, and floor-to-ceiling glass walls that frame views of the course. Inside, warm wood finishes, acoustical plank ceilings, and refined stone elements offer a welcoming and timeless atmosphere.

Designed to achieve LEED Silver equivalency, the clubhouse prioritizes sustainability, guest comfort, and long-term value for the Academy and broader community. The facility stands as a modern landmark for West Point-supporting recreation and competition while reinforcing the Academy’s mission to educate and inspire leaders of character.
