Hospital Rehabilitation Project

Eagleville, PA

Eagleville Hospital, a specialty healthcare facility in Pennsylvania, provides care for individuals facing substance use, mental health, and co-occurring disorders. As the need for rehabilitation services continues to rise, especially in response to the opioid crisis, the hospital sought to expand its facilities to better serve its mission of delivering patient-centered care to underserved populations.

To meet this demand, the hospital initiated a residential rehabilitation expansion that consolidates existing residential units into a new location on campus, separating it from the acute care setting. The new Rehabilitation Center introduces 264 residential beds distributed across three neighborhood-style buildings that promote dignity, safety, and community. The layout provides easy access to shared outdoor gardens and wellness spaces supporting therapeutic and recreational activities.

At the heart of the campus is the Creative and Wellness Therapies building, a two-story facility that serves as both a welcome center and hub for holistic care. The first floor features orientation space, a living room/library, and staff offices. The lower level includes a gymnasium, game room, fitness room, and a gallery wall for patient artwork—encouraging self-expression and community engagement as part of the healing process.

Through thoughtful planning and design, this expansion supports Eagleville Hospital’s commitment to providing compassionate, respectful care in a setting that fosters recovery and well-being.
