The renovated 17,000 SF Maternal Newborn Care Unit at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital delivers an elevated birth experience for expectant moms, their newborns, and loved ones. Featuring four private labor and delivery rooms, eight private ante/post-partum rooms, two ORs, and a level 2 NICU, the unit combines current healthcare advances with agility and improved infection control for a safe and compassionate patient experience. The design provides a calming environment that encourages movement and promotes choice by offering multiple respite spaces, optimizing daylight and bringing in nature through materials, art, and textures.
