
Debbie is a Principal at EwingCole with a focus on clinical healthcare planning. Since joining the firm in 2018, she has contributed to a diverse range of projects, including patient care towers, lab space planning and expansions, cancer centers, and specialty clinics. Known for her analytical ability and critical thinking, Debbie’s broad background and experience in architecture encompasses programming, space planning, master planning, and design development.
Debbie is an accredited healthcare architect and planner with aptitude and expertise to manage all aspects of complex healthcare projects. Her interest in healthcare and environmental research informs a thoughtful, evidence-based approach to planning and design—one that prioritizes patient outcomes, staff efficiency, and operational effectiveness. She consistently integrates the latest best practices, clinical trends, and regulatory requirements into her work, ensuring that each solution is both forward-thinking and grounded in real-world functionality.
Debbie holds a Masters of Architecture from Texas A&M University – Concentration in Healthcare Planning; and a B.E.D. in Environmental Design from Miami University. She is a member of the American Institute of Architects and earned a certification from the American College of Healthcare Architects (ACHA), as well as a Evidence-Based Design Accreditation and Certification (EDAC).
