David is a Principal and the Regional Director of Science and Technology at EwingCole in San Diego. As  an architect and planner with decades of science and technology-focused experience, he is an invaluable resource for architectural design, project management, and strategic facility planning for workplace, laboratory and research spaces, and manufacturing facilities.

David brings a unique perspective by understanding the clients’ needs, design practitioner foresight, and understanding of owner operational issues and requirements from his years in private industry prior to returning to the AEC. From this vantage point, he provides the roadmap for navigating through the strategic planning issues and defining the go-forward plan. This experience translates client needs into a definable program and leads to creating memorable spaces that enable his clients to be successful. He is highly skilled at building teams and collaborating with designers and engineers to define the solutions to the client’s needs while maximizing the value to them.

David holds a B.A. in Architecture from Iowa State University.
