Casey Gallagher is a Principal at EwingCole and the firm’s Director of Cultural Projects. She leads the planning and delivery of museum, cultural, and institutional environments that balance design excellence, stakeholder engagement, and operational functionality. As an architect, planner, and project manager, Casey has contributed to a diverse range of projects for clients including the Smithsonian Institution, Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library, and Hillwood Estate, Museum & Gardens. Her work reflects a deep understanding of how thoughtfully designed environments shape visitor experience, support institutional missions, and foster meaningful public engagement. Her projects have been recognized by the American Institute of Architects for design excellence.
Casey believes successful projects begin with rigorous planning and collaborative decision-making. She is known for guiding clients and stakeholder groups through complex processes that build consensus while balancing scope, schedule, and budget priorities. Her empathetic and strategic approach allows her to deliver tailored solutions that respond to the unique needs of each institution and community.
Since joining EwingCole in 2007, Casey has been an active contributor to initiatives that strengthen the firm’s culture, including serving as co-chair of Women@EwingCole. She also engages the broader museum and cultural community through conference presentations and publications. Casey holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University, is a member of the American Institute of Architects, and serves on the Board of Directors of AIA Philadelphia.
