Barbara is a Principal at EwingCole and the firm’s Director of Government Projects. In this role, she helps lead the firm’s public-sector portfolio, overseeing complex civic, government, academic, and community-focused projects that require integrated design leadership, technical coordination, and strategic project delivery. Since joining EwingCole in 2004, Barbara has successfully led some of the firm’s most technically sophisticated and operationally complex projects. Her experience spans government facilities, higher education environments, and sports and entertainment venues, where she is recognized for her ability to manage multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a strong focus on client goals, project execution, and design quality.
Barbara is passionate about fostering highly collaborative project environments that bring together clients, consultants, architects, and engineers around a shared vision. She believes strong communication and integrated coordination are essential to delivering successful projects that are both technically sound and experientially impactful.
With expertise in planning, construction documentation, and project delivery, Barbara is known for her thoughtful leadership style, technical rigor, and ability to guide projects from early visioning through implementation.
Barbara holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University with a minor in Management. She is a LEED Accredited Professional, is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, and is a member of the Society of American Military Engineers.
