Phillies Unveil Reimagined Fan Experience at Citizens Bank Park
PHILADELPHIA, PA (March 2026) – The Philadelphia Phillies have unveiled a series of major upgrades at Citizens Bank Park, introducing reimagined premium spaces, an expanded team store, and new social destinations to elevate the fan experience.
Designed by EwingCole, original architect of the ballpark and a long-standing design partner, the enhancements respond to evolving expectations for hospitality, retail, and engagement across Major League Baseball venues.
The Phillies previewed the upgrades during a media and influencer event ahead of Opening Day, offering a first look at spaces that will debut this season. Together, the improvements introduce a more connected, immersive game-day environment that extends well beyond the field.
The transformation focuses on how fans move through and experience the ballpark. Strategic interventions improve circulation, expand points of engagement, and strengthen visual connections to the game, creating a layered experience from arrival through the final inning.

EwingCole has partnered with the Phillies for more than two decades, shaping Citizens Bank Park from its original design through multiple phases of improvement. This latest evolution builds on that legacy, aligning new fan expectations with the ballpark’s established identity.
“This project is a testament to long-standing relationships and shared trust,” stated Kevin Murphy, RA, EwingCole’s Principal in Charge. “In working with the Phillies, Aramark, LF Driscoll, and our design collaborators Temeka Group and Jack Porter, we built on a shared commitment to create something that feels both new and authentically rooted in the ballpark’s identity.”

“These upgrades create new ways to engage with the game, whether through premium environments, social spaces, or moments that celebrate Phillies history,” said EwingCole Principal Ryan Leichtweisz, RA. “Our goal was to make the ballpark feel more connected, more dynamic, and more responsive to how fans experience the game today.”
Key Enhancements Include:
- Expanded New Era Team Store with improved access, increased capacity, and a more immersive retail experience developed with the Temeka Group
- Reimagined Cooperstown Gallery, featuring historic artifacts, interactive elements, and the permanent display of the Phillies’ World Series trophies
- Upgraded premium club spaces, including the Cadillac Hall of Fame Club, new bars and bistros, and reconfigured suites designed for social interaction
- New upper concourse beer garden, introducing an open-air social destination
- Concourse upgrades, improving speed of service and accessibility through new grab-and-go food and beverage concepts
Collectively, the enhancements reinforce Citizens Bank Park’s position as one of baseball’s premier fan destinations while setting a new standard for experience-driven ballpark design.
