The SCA Americas project, on the surface, appears to be another exercise of a large company owner, a corporate real estate developer, and its design and construction team working together to create a workspace for employees. SCA, a $13 billion international company that produces and sells absorbent hygiene products, packaging solutions, and publication papers around the globe, however, did not want to create just another corporate office. This project was redefined to shatter the tenant fit-out paradigm as a “new workspace design” idea grew to become an extension of both the organization’s mission and its facilities growth program in North America. The design was to reinforce SCA’s core values of respect, excellence, and responsibility in a workplace environment that supported collaboration and employee interaction. SCA staff can enjoy easy access to the Philadelphia skyline and western sunsets, and they can appreciate the benefits of top-quality materials that minimize environmental impact. As SCA grows, its new headquarters serves as a smart, economic and environmental leader that provides a corporate identity and breaths confidence - and ultimately, a new level of success.
