97,000 sf Quality Assurance Laboratory containing Class 100 sterility suites; chemistry, tissue culture, and microbiology labs; a vivarium and support spaces, and a biohazard suite. Special attention was given to maintain proper airflow and pressurization throughout the facility. The HVAC system design utilized a full floor mechanical penthouse above the vivarium to locate all air handling units, VAV control boxes, exhaust systems and process mechanical equipment outside of the barrier envelope.
