Each station has a frosted lensed exam downlight that can be controlled by the patient. Blue LED luminaires were installed above the floating wooden panels to create a sky-like atmosphere. Frosted glass pendants and back-lit acrylic panels were continued in the Nurses’ Station. The design inspiration of this Cancer Treatment Facility was to mimic that of a sheltering oak tree, incorporating nature and the outdoors to create a serene and meditative environment. Curved coves illuminated continuously flow through the entranceway, guiding patients and visitors to the check-in and registration desks. LED aimable recessed luminaires highlight artwork located throughout. Frosted glass pendants and backlit acrylic panels provide soft and comforting illumination for patients.
