Pocono Medical Center
Pocono Medical Center’s new 65,000 sf cancer center is intended to convey the sophistication and compassion of the cancer care provided to its patients in northeastern Pennsylvania. The new building, connected by skywalk to the hospital, includes two linear accelerator vaults, twenty chemotherapy infusion stations, pharmacy, CT simulator and PET/CT. The lobby and the main circulation spaces overlook a healing garden. The garden, with its glacial boulders and water features emblematic of the natural landscape of the Pocono Mountains, continues indoors to the lobby. Construction will be completed in 2011.
