EwingCole and RDLA are coming together, providing an ongoing, greater range of architectural, engineering, planning and interior design services for healthcare organizations. By combining the significant talents of our firms, we intend to broaden our national reach, even as we solidify and expand our regional presence. Bob and I see tremendous synergies; EwingCole and RDLA have the depth of resources to flexibly provide the services needed in this rapidly changing industry. We’ve informally referred to it in our discussions as the “multiple ‘A’ team factor.” The combination will make us that much stronger. We both also believe strongly in a holistic approach: working together, we’ll be able to offer the benefits of multiple offices and geographic locations, multiple disciplines, and diverse perspectives, blended to a single goal of working in each client’s best interest. That will stay true as we head forward. Bob’s agreed to join EwingCole, and his senior principals from RDLA will be doing the same. They’ll become principals at EwingCole as well and will also be bringing their clients, projects and the staff that serve those clients. While we expect that the combination will take effect by September 1, 2009, we’ll be gradually blending our staffs together over the next several months. We’ll consolidate RDLA staff within the EwingCole offices in Philadelphia; initially, RDLA will maintain its name and identity. We are excited about this news, and look forward to our future. We hope you share our feeling. Working separately, our firms have always been leaders in the architecture field. Together, we’re about to take things to an entirely new level. Sincerely, John Gerbner, EwingCole Robert D. Lynn, Robert D. Lynn Associates
