Lighting books and small collections within historic spaces requires developing solutions that respond to the goals and concerns of conservators, curators and lenders. These intimate galleries now have flexible systems which greatly improve the ability of visitors to see the detail of collections on display. To minimize lux on objects and incorporate sustainability, lighting controls were designed to ‘anticipate’ visitor movement by increasing and deceasing lighting levels on objects around the room as visitors circulate.
